GEM PC Demo for Windows
Download a GEM PC Demo - the files that TeleflexMorse Electronics have developed to run CANtrak Application Software (GEM in this case) in a Pop Up Windows Frame - by following the instructions below.
Note This software is designed to run on reasonably high spec machines that have a Windows.NET Framework version 1.1 file loaded. (See http://msdn.microsoft.com/netframework/ for minimum machine specification).
Download MS.NET Framework Redistributable Package (Download x86 version) from the Microsoft Website (this file may take a while to download) and install the software on your machine.

Once the file is installed follow these steps to run the PC simulated version of the CANtrak GEM software on the PC.

Once the file is installed follow these steps to run the PC simulated version of the CANtrak GEM software on the PC.
- Download the zip file that contains the two files: CANtrak2600.exe and GEM for simulator.exe to your computer.

- Create a folder on your machine for the GEM Demo and extract the files from the zip file into it using unzipping software like winzip - [ get Winzip here ].
- Double click the CANtrak 2600 / 2610.exe file. A Picture of a CANtrak 2200 will come on to your PC screen saying CANtrak Simulator.
- From the Tool bar on the CANtrak Simulator left click File, then on the drop down menu click Open. It should take you to the other file in the directory you just set up, Click on ‘GEM for simulator.exe’ and click the
Open Button.
- It looks like nothing has happened; now click onto the Simulate button on the CANtrak Simulator Tool bar and select Run.
- Now you should have GEM running on your PC. Use the PC Cursor to Click/push - you have to left click once the hand icon is over the button - the 5 soft keys on the CANtrak function as they would with a CANtrak in real life.
